Fireworks set off by shacks while taking a romantic walk down the beach and getting your feet wet at absolutely no cost at all sounds like a good plan. Beware; this only applies during the tourist season between November to February and on weekends or holidays. 

Party all night at the best clubs in town

Club Cabana (Anjuna Baga Road), Tito’s (Baga) and Shiva Valley(Anjuna Beach) are the most popular clubs that mostly allow free entry through the week, and on weekends before a certain cut off time. 

Saturday Night Bazaar

The absolute Goan experience is at its Saturday’s Night Market. Free of charge, these markets offer all sorts of trinkets, clothes, foods and entertainment. If you don’t want to spend a penny, just enter, walk around and listen to the amazing live performances by artists from all over the world. 

Chapora Fort Sunset

Have your own Dil Chahta Hai moment at the Chapora Fort (Chapora Village). Grab a small sheet, pack up some goodies, don’t forget that beer, and spend the entire evening at the fort grounds, enjoying the sunset and indulging in good conversation. And yes! It is all free of cost.

Live Jazz and the local Goan life is all the Cantare (Siolim) is about. Although it is a restaurant and pub, locals from the area just go there to enjoy the live music, almost on a daily basis. There is no entry fee.

Latin Quarters or Fontainhas

Experience Portuguese architecture at its best, and it is all free of cost. If you are an avid traveler, or photographer, this is the ideal place to spend the entire day picturing the scenic by lanes but at the same time, witnessing how Portuguese Goa once looked like. 

Sun Bathe at the Beach

Majority of the beaches in this beautiful state are free of cost and open to the public. Feel free to grab a towel, sunglasses and a lot of sun lotion, and head to the beautiful beach. Best Beaches in our opinion: Benaulim Beach, Ozran Beach, Morjim Beach, Palolem Beach and Arambol Beach.

Hang Out with Fishermen at the Chapora River Jetty

Fishermen and women gather at the Chapora Jetty during the early hours of the day to get their catch every day. In the evening during low tide, you see them walk across the river in search of Clams, and other sea creatures that are considered exotic.  

Hiking Trails

A number of hiking trails are found in and around the popular spots in Goa, including Dudhsagar Falls, and Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Many of them do require a minimum entry fee, but you can go around it and walk to off beaten tracks to experience the lush wildlife and flora that this state has to offer.
